Tony Burke teaches Biblical Studies in the Department of Humanities at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His research interests include the Christian Apocrypha, Jewish Pseudepigrapha, New Testament textual criticism, canon formation, and cursing. Currently he serves as President of the North American Society for the Study of Christian Apocryphal Literature (NASSCAL) and Co-Chair of the Society of Biblical Literature Christian Apocrypha Section. In 2011 he created the York University Christian Apocrypha Symposium Series, a bi-annual gathering of North American Christian Apocrypha scholars.
