I am grateful for the clarification on your term &quot;apologist&quot; but I must say, reading your SBL article, it still sounds like you are using &#039;apologist&#039; in a denigrating way.
But, if you were using it in a neutral way, then me applying it to you shouldn&#039;t be bothersome  :-)
I do understand that you are not defending the CA and its &#039;theology&#039; or whatever, but CA scholarship.  I would contend that they are defending their scholarship on the CAâ€” not just &#039;defending the faith&#039;</description>
